REFLECTING SAFETY WITH
YOUNG ROAD USERS
Bessie Poster
Last month Phoenix Surfacing
launched a road safety initiative
aimed at young road users in
Northamptonshire using its very
own cartoon character Bessie.

Working with the Northamptonshire
County Council, the company
distributed posters to schools,
dental and doctor’s surgeries; libraries and youth organisations highlighting
the 3 key causes of accidents with youngsters in the county.
If you would like to have a copy of the poster you can download one here:

The National Road Safety Week
runs from 19th - 25th November 2012; an initiative by Brake,
the road safety charity and
supported by Northamptonshire
county council.
To coincide with this campaign, Phoenix Surfacing is distributing a number
of reflective arm bands and reflectors to schools in Northamptonshire for
young children to wear to school and help them to stay safe. The company
has a number of these to give away to schools, nurseries or youth clubs.

Interested parties should email bessie@phoenixsurfacing.com
explaining how these would be used on a group basis and how many they
would need. There is a finite quantity to be given away so it is first come,
first served basis.
Reflecting safety in the community is part of corporate social responsibility
initiative 2012 and builds on the Community School Project last year. It is
something that is dear to the hearts of all at the company.
